On behalf of the proud men and women of the Forsyth County Fire Department, I am honored to express my sincerest thanks for B.A.D.G.E. This amazing program, completely funded through private donations from local citizens and business leaders, provides for crucial financial support to our firefighters in times of their need. Whether it be an injury, family crisis, unforeseen financial burden, or any other number of needs, my firefighters know that they have a locally funded, and locally managed, program that looks out for them - just as they look out for Forsyth County.

Organizations like B.A.D.G.E. are one of the many reasons that Forsyth County is an amazing place to live and work. The B.A.D.G.E. program is like and extended family member for us and one for which I am so personally grateful.

Thank you to the citizens of Forsyth County who both, created B.A.D.G.E., and those that support it, because they see the need to support all of our public safety employees, within the county. Forsyth County has some of the most professional emergency management and emergency telecommunications staff in the entire state, and to know that they have a local organization looking out for them during their times of need is very comforting, not only to them, but also to their families.

Not only has BADGE committed to helping our Public Safety families during a critical time of need, they have also committed to providing scholarships to employees and their children to ensure that they can continue their education, by raising funds from local businesses and citizens who care for their hometown heroes. On behalf of the men and women of Forsyth County's Emergency Management Agency, thank you B.A.D.G.E., for your care and support.

B.A.D.G.E. provides support and assistance for the men and women of the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office when we find ourselves in need of help. Made up of local citizens, business leaders, and supporters of law enforcement throughout our community, B.A.D.G.E. provides financial support to officers injured in the line of duty, educational scholarship opportunities and more.

I am so appreciative of our citizens in Forsyth County and organizations such as B.A.D.G.E. who are willing to support the extraoridnary men and women of FCSO who work so hard to keep us safe every day. All of the funding for B.A.D.G.E. comes from local citizens, businesses and corporate partners and 100% is spent in support of our local deputies.

I am so very thankful for B.A.D.G.E. which looks to the needs of first responders, in the same manner that those responders look to the needs of our community and citizens. Programs like this are instrumental in helping bind our community together for the good of everyone, and we could not be more appreciative of their help and generosity to officers in need.

First responders are notoriously unwilling to ask for help on their own behalf and I have personally seen B.A.D.G.E. step in and fill that gap for officers who are struggling. This program is funded entirely through the very generous donations of individual citizens and local businesses, and goes to support the men and women in public safety.
